Web Services - An Overview

Web Services extend the power of D&B Finance Analytics beyond the credit department by enabling real-time, seamless integration with your existing enterprise systems. Here are some sample capabilities that are enabled by Web Services:

  • Actions taken within D&B Finance Analytics Decision Maker can be instantly applied to your A/R system to ensure processing of sales orders is always consistent with your credit policies
  • Credit applications can be directly submitted and decisioned from existing order systems or customer portals without the need for manual re-entry
  • Once applicants are approved, accounts can be automatically established in your enterprise systems to streamline provisioning and order fulfillment

    • Web Services are designed to allow client IT organizations with basic web services knowledge to integrate D&B Finance Analytics Decision Maker with your enterprise in a matter of hours-not weeks. Web Services are also based on open industry standards that are compatible with your IT's technology choice-be it Java or. NET. The Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) are easy, intuitive and well documented. Sample code is provided so that your IT organization can immediately be productive.

    Web Services provide a comprehensive and fully featured API organized as follows

    Account Management - These APIs can be used to retrieve account data, update accounts, and synchronize workflow actions on accounts with your enterprise systems.

    Application Processing     - These APIs can be used to submit credit applications, retrieve application data, update credit applications, and synchronize workflow actions on credit applications with your enterprise systems.

    Outbound Web Services for Account Management – Services that push messages to the specified Endpoint URL with Account updates based on the selected Account Management actions performed in D&B Finance Analytics.

    Outbound Web Services for Application Processing – Services that push messages to the specified Endpoint URL with Application updates based on the selected Application Processing actions performed in D&B Finance Analytics.

    International Data in Web Services – Enable international D&B data for Application decisions and Account reviews via Web Services. Once enabled, international D&B data will be automatically pulled via Web Services for Application decisions and Account reviews. If disabled, international D&B data will not be available.
